Are we talking about the same bridge in Cardiff Bay? If we are then I'd be really interested in knowing where the existing pathway was already as I never found it, unless you mean Penarth Road...

I think Tandy is talking about the new footbridge on Cowbridge Road West (just before the roundabout by Waun-gron Park station).

There was already a fairly wide pathway on either side of the road. They added a new bridge in about 20 feet to the side.

Thanks for the reply as our resident angry man hasn't bothered to respond - don't know that bridge so I'm less concerned I'm losing my marbles now...
