Need a new laptop

I'm assuming you know about this stuff and that's a good deal for the money.

Without wishing to incur the ridicule of people on here, I'm assuming it's got a thing on the side for putting my cd's in to put them on iTunes (disk drive maybe?)

Also, can I just buy it and use it? - in other words I won't be expected to stump up extra money to get stuff like windows, Microsoft office (for spreadsheets and stuff) put on it.

I usually ask Mrs R to explain this sort of stuff but last time I could feel her exasperation seeping through my screen so I'm scared of pushing her over the edge.
