Confirmed...The Premier League has gone crazy...

...or more particularly there's too much money being spent on average players.

These reports from the Daily Mail reveal Leicester are considering meeting West Brom's 15million valuation of Jonny Evans (29 and 131 appearances for Man U in 9 years):

and West Brom, Burnley and Newcastle all fancy Jay Rodriguez (27 and played only 104 times in 5 years for Southampton, scoring 26 goals) for another 15million:

Which only goes to show that if you're not among the elite clubs in EPL or elsewhere in Europe, then you're having to scrap it out with lesser rivals for what's left over.

Surely the vast sums now available annually to the top 20 in England should be shared a little more equitably with clubs in the lower divisions to allow them to improve facilities and nurture young British talent.

I see Sigurdsson is now £40m player. He's good. He's not that good.

The new TV deal makes averagclubs among the richest in Europe, and their attitude is to spend It all as quickly as possible.

I don't think 15m in today's transfer market is crazy for Jonny Evans. He might have only been a squad player at United but he's been impressive for West Brom for last 2 years and is an experienced premier league and international player. N
