Colin Meads was the last AB to be sent off in 1967.

Good win but I get the feeling that next week is going to be horrible.
Nevertheless I fully expected a 3-0 drubbing in the tests so well done all the Lions.

    Re: Lions

Vunipola did something very similar to Barret and only got a yellow card

if i was a NZ fan Id be complaining about inconsistent Northern hemisphere refs

    just saying

first sending off in 50 years first ever at home, not much to complain about considering they play close to the edge, they will be totally fired up for the 3rd test , lions must match them as they have selection issues at centre and can be beaten if the forwards win the collisions and breakdown

Having Warburton back made a difference at the breakdown. Vunipola is a big problem in the front row. It shows how few quality props are around in a British rugby. The Lions will also need to be far more disciplined next week.

I reckon it will be a cracking Test match. The AB's by ten.

Surely Vunipola can't be selected next week.
Apart from the Barret incident he must have given away 6 penalties in the second half and is a liability.

Looked to me like he had been tasked with hitting Barret hard at every opportunity....just wasn't very subtle about it.

His following through with tackles after the ball had gone looked intentional on many occasions so you may be correct.
However, he is nailed on for a yellow card in the 3rd test and the Lions cannot afford it.

    Re: Lions

His scrummaging technique has always been dodgy and he gifted them 9pts yesterday so he shouldn't be in the 23 next week.

The success of the Lions brand, harmony within the players of England, Scotland, Ireland & Wales, also supporters points the way forward to a Lions football team

The problem there is they'd end up picking players just because they're from a certain nation not on ability and right now there'd be little gain for the smaller nations watching England plus Bale so they'd have too start throwing in the odd Jock if they could find one
