It was NOT intentional. He was keeping his balance the flying elbow never hit Cavendish who was already going down.
Race ruined totally now.

I'm inclined to agree here. Cavendish went for a gap that wasn't there.
The same thing happens in athletics, notably the 800 and 1500 metres, and I thought Sagan was within his rights to make himself bigger IMO.

Agree with the Likes

Geraint was Team Leader in the Giro so thst crash was so big moment. Hes not leader here though so was never going to in yellow for long. Probably had a day longer in yellow than he thought he would. Did his job perfectly today for his team leader and that's what he's there to do.
