Lewis McGugan - on trial with Cardiff

    According to this:

    http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/footb...vals-1-8636314

The Lewis McGugan of a few years ago would have been a very good signing. Not sure now.

I rated him when he was with Forest & Watford although I didn't realise how much his career has nose-dived since he's been with Sheffield Wednesday. Still only 28 & chips in with goals from midfield, could turn out to be a decent addition to the squad if it happens

Perhaps we're getting a little desperate as we are running out of time?
Hopefully our Neil can work his magic and see something that can add some value to our squad.
Yes he is probably past his best but he was hot property not long ago and knew where the goals were.
If anyone can squeeze the best out of him it's Warnock, his fitness will be key though.

We may be desperate with fees/wages but time is on our side. The window ends 31st August.

Some interesting views from this Wednesday Forum which confirms what some of us might expect. A problematic player. Perhaps Neil can knock him into shape ?

Running out of time? It's only the beginning of July! About 8 weeks left yet...

Hopefully Warnock can do a Dave Jones and get the best out of this maverick player.

Maybe NW can do a Tarabt with him?

My sources tell me he's no relation to Barry McGuigan.

For all we know his agent might have asked for the trial. With a year to go on his contract Wed must be keen to get rid.If he turns up a fat fecker he'll have no chance.

So, how come we paid a million plus for Danny Ward in June?

Did you sign anyone decent last season? Your heart isn't in it, is it? You've turned your back on your team and now you are turning your back on being a WUM.

I see that Bristol City are quoted today as being interested in Aaron Pierre (who ?) the Wycombe Wanderers centre half on a free transfer. Looks like Lee Johnson is already preparing for life in Division One in 2018/2019. Hardly an inspiring signing is it and makes your above comments look even more stupid. Lewis Mcgugan is a quality, experienced, championship player.

Or another cheap journeyman to fit into an ugly long ball football side typical of so many teams managed by that c--t.

Well, your lot are the experts at flair. Or is that flare?

I see that you very convieniently only used the last sentance of my post in your reply and totally ignored that your club is interested in signing a crap League 2 centre half who is available from Wycombe for absolutely nothing (Aaron Pierre). I bet you have never heard of him and have no idea how he plays. You can guarantee that he is good at playing 'hoofball' as you put it as he no doubt has considerable experience of this in that division. And by the way Neil Warnock is good enough to be able to manage us to two wins over you lot last season and that will do for me.

Re: Lewis McGugan - on trial with Cardiff

I always like McGugan, seems like a forward playing, goalscoring midfielder. I know he's been around a bit but we haven't signed him yet, he's only on trial so has to prove himself. If he does sign he'll add to the squad and be good off the bench or as an alternative to Holieet and Harris.
