Must be a first as far as City are concerned surely?

Incredible story ,I remember him being at Man U due to my interest of any Northern Irish player signing for Utd after Best .

Think he fell on hard times during his career.

Let's hope he gives City a special mention to his mate above ,we need all the divine intervention we can muster .

It's taken a while for him to be ordained. We had a couple of threads on this last year (I think) when he was well along the road to becoming a priest. Same photo too.

    Fair play to the guy.

I remember that Phil Mulryne and Jeff Whitley - both City players as it happened - were sent home from a NI International preperations for some kind of breach of acceptable conduct.

"Whitley has spent time at the Sporting Chance clinic after becoming addicted to alcohol and drugs. It affected him greatly and said "at times I would just be praying just to die". Whitley is currently working as a car salesman in the Stockport area and delivers talks at professional football clubs about the dangers of alcohol and drug misuse" (Wiki)

    Good luck to the both.
Alchohol addiction is a demon with a rapid and lifelong grip.
