Brilliant fun band used to play in the Great Western every weekend for some time. Just played great music, remember them doing 'Back in the night' Dr Feelgood, Hang on to yourself' Bowie, Kinks stuff etc. Just found this on Google...

Zipper was a five piece band in Cardiff, Wales, UK from 1979-83 which drew considerable inspiration from The Kinks. Members of the band were Andy Brice (bass), Steve Wilson (guitar), Jon Calvin-Thomas (vocals), Mike Gale (guitar), and John Turner (drums). The biggest 'hit' was Life of Riley which was first released on Spanking Records and later released on Virgin and entered the UK single charts in 1979. It was also made a Mike Read single of the week on Radio 1 in the UK. Andy Brice has myspace page on Zipper: : http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndid=404397638.
