Thread: Football on Five

    Football on Five

I see that Channel 5 have dropped Lindsey Hipgrave and George Gavin.

The presenter this season will be Colin Murray. I'm happy with that.

She weren't great Mike, and he was in his second year. Should have been a lot better. I agree, Colin Murray will be an improvement.

Hope get rid of Chris Iwelumo and Adam Virgo as well. They offer nothing. Nor that flash Ward lad

Wasn't it just? It made ITV's Premiership look brilliant.

Can anyone remember John Barnes being the anchor man for some Channel 5 games?

That was terrible too. Goals on Sunday isn't much better, as Ben Shepherd doesn't know enough about football to host it. He's also so dull.

What about Soccer Sunday? That was bloody terrible. And city fan Johnny Owen couldn't even pronounce Bothroyd properly.

Never mind, this time next year we can look forward to a couple of minutes as the last game at the end of Match of the Day

Could not tell you who the presenters or guests are.

Recorded on a Saturday night, flicked through in 15 minutes on a Sunday morning, whilst I eat my toast.

I prefer goals on sunday to MoTD, usually have a good guest and it seems a bit less bland

Some interesting guests on but most of the chat was a poor standard. However, football league football deserved a lot better than after MotD and this gave it that.

It will be a better program if he's allowed done artistic licence and humour, Channel 5 however have annoyed the EFL as they wernt consulted ,crime of the century moment ?

    Re: Football on Five

Having been to Valencia with Colin Murray and had a night out with him in Ponty I can tell you he is a genuine down to earth guy who just loves a drink and to talk football and was completely on side with my anti rebrand tirades which he discussed on radio .

I'm delighted that he's doing it as he's alright in my eyes.
    There I've name dropped.
