Was the name suggested to me when I heard about Bennett on Tuesday, which was why I was surprised to see the Greg Cunningham story come out yesterday.

Hi mate, just read elsewhere that we've had a bid turned down. In the last year of his contract, just a game of cat and mouse like all deals with a fortnight to go!

I like the look of Bell, if we get him he could turn out to be another bargain buy

He's certainly an ap-Peal-ing prospect. I hope Warnock can strike quickly.

Surely he'd be our best signing since Big Ben.

Looks pretty definite to me, well within our price range as Preston may have priced Cunningham out of it.

We could get into trouble playing ringers.

Very good. Can only see this happening when he sorts out his court case with Fleetwood for non-payment of wages. Or as the Blackpool Gazette puts it "When will you pay me says Bell at Old Bailey".
