    What a player this guy is, he's adapted to the league so quickly too. I was a bit apprehensive after a couple of our resident experts had watched the french second division and wrote him off based on that

    They probably are, but then we have a history of importing our footballers in the UK, rather than developing them.

    The French leagues are lightweight, like in most of Europe. We have had plenty of instances at Cardiff in recent seasons, where supposedly "good" European players have not come up to scratch in a proper competitive environment.
