    Re: New songs

Getting songs actually dung on the terraces is not easy. Some clubs supporters print song sheets and pass them around before ko

Maybe also include an invitation to submit songs of their own and really freshen things up

Watching Bournemouth and Southampton yesterday the crowd was dire

I like the Ken chants, though the first one is for folks of a certain age and over ;)

To the Clash cover "I fought the law"? That's a winner...

Like that a lot. Sounds like a football chant. Do enough fans know the record?

    Re: New songs

Not my forte I 'll admit, though I cant help noticing that song/chant threads of the past often contained a large dollop of best intended cringe, but by gad there's some corkers in here already

    Simple ones usually catch on.

To Carly Simon's Nobody Does it Better

    Nobody does it better
Makes me feel sad for the rest
Nobody does it half as good as you
(Insert player's name), you're the best.

To whining opposition fans and managers:

Don't blame it on the bad luck,
Don't blame it on the rough stuff,
Don't blame it on the referee,
    Blame it on the Bogle.

    Tom Jones' Delilah.

We went to Wolves on that hot day in August (dur, dur, dur)
They thought they'd win to go top of the league (dur, dur, dur)
    Theeeeey were del-u-ded
For when we won we went of our minds

Fly, fly, fly, my Bluebirds (thank you Nathaniel Mendez-Laing)
High, high, high, my Bluebirds (thank you Nathaniel Mendez-Laing)

And with the final whistle blown
Neiiiiiiiiiil stood there laughing (ha, ha, ha, ha)
We looked for Wolves but they'd all gone home (dur-dur-dur)

Fly, fly, fly, my Bluebirds (thank you Nathaniel Mendez-Laing)
High, high, high, my Bluebirds (thank you Nathaniel Mendez-Laing)

But a tad too complex for our lot.

It's OK but doesn't really compete with:

"Danny Ward.... Danny, Danny Ward...." (repeat x 15)

    A true classic!
