Rall's is benefiting from the clarity of expectation from Warnock.

When we do not have the ball he expects him to close down space quickly and press the opposition to regain possession from mistakes. He expects him to compete with tenacity for every loose ball, tackle and header. Rall's revels in this environment.

When we have the ball the expectations are more complex. He expects the midfield to play at a high tempo, he wants the ball passed to our front three quickly to allow them to exploit a back four on the back foot against real pace and power. However, he also wants to see composure on the ball and an ability to expose space when it is presented.

Rall's has been magnificent in meeting the requirements of the manager. His real challenge is to maintain consistency over a full and demanding Champioship season. His physical conditioning looks fantastic and he has great stamina, at the moment, early days I know, but he has been our most consistent and reliable player.
