Hate to state the obvious, but if your intending using the gym more than once a week and your on a budget then it seems paying the £35 and staying local is about the best bet. Travel to Cardiff or wherever will soon use up the extra £15 or so you save on membership.
For personal trainer, Ian Grey , he's based in London and he's Ronnie O'Sullivans trainer.
I bought The online package for a year, about £30. he gave me excersises to do out of hotel rooms, (cos I work away),
He keeps in touch all the time , gave me a detailed plan of healthier options when working away and living off takeaways.
Sends you loads of stuff to keep checking and measuring your weight and muscles etc.
He's really good.
I found him cos I follow all the snooker players on Twitter.
