    The reality of transfer deadline day

    Apologies if this has already been posted, I had a quick look but didn't see it.

    A very interesting piece that sheds some real insight into how deals are done in football at our level - unsurprisingly it doesn't paint agents in a very good light at all...

    Thanks for posting that. The surprise for me was that a club and manager would permit such access, what wasn't a surprise was the way they were messed about - that said, I daresay Sheffield United are not squeaky clean when someone is after one of their players.

    As for agents, I'll get the "there are some good ones" bit out of the way first and then say that when you hear stuff from them about acting in their client's best interests, what they really mean is in a financial, rather than a football, sense because that's how they get more money for themselves.
