That article seems to confuse whether he was going from Brum to the Rams or vice versa! If the club's admin gave the journal the story no wonder the paperwork was messed up.

What is the situation on their right to recall a loan player?

Was mentioned on the radio the other day that the Leicester deal wasn't sanctioned as it was 14 seconds late, which seemed quite harsh.

I heard that too. A difficult one, but why the clubs leave it so late is beyond me. You have to draw the line somewhere, if they allowed that, it would open the floodgates for other clubs to stretch it further.

They put the paperwork in plenty of time but it was the league/ fa that did not process it. They appealed but it was turned down, they have now taken it to arbitration, my guess is they will win this one, Derby on the other hand messed up the paperwork appeal turned down my guess they will lose the arbitration. My understanding on the recall is that you cannot put in a recall clause in a season long loan unless the club who have the loan agree to it, but not in the contract, but that is not going to happen is it?

Harsh, maybe but it is still late. They had all summer to do the deal, they've chased him for over 12 months.

I just found this rule re recall of a player, so I was wrong , had it the wrong way about, but I very much doubt there is a recall clause as the Chairman wanted him off the wage bill to fetch in another player, they messed that up didn't they

Any recall clause requiring the early termination of a Standard Loan can only be included in a full Season Standard Loan and this can only be activated during the second (January) Transfer Window. Any other early termination of a Standard Loan must be by way of a mutual agreement in writing (including by way of a recall clause within the Standard Loan Agreement) between both Clubs and the Player but can only be completed after the expiry of 28 days and only during a Transfer Window.
