I suppose it depends what you interpret as a god.

Did Jesus Christ exist?, I believe that he did, was he the son of someone who created everything?, irrespective of my catholic upbringing, then I'm not buying it. Religion for me, is nothing more than a control tool and is used as manipulation, it's brainwashing from the moment you are born.

Agree, it's the route of all evil in the world.

Is that a religion? I was talking about this case so it's a bit unfair to suggest that I would agree with every case like it, these kind of things raise so many arguments about who's rights should come first and I really don't know half of the time, I just say what I think is fair, do you think he should been made to do it?
If someone refused me as a customer for that reason I would just go somewhere else, I wouldn't want them to do something they were against doing, the same as I wouldn't expect a Muslim to be made to serve me bacon sandwiches, people should just live and let live and stop rubbing each other up the wrong way for no other reason than because they can.

Why is it that Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses come knocking my door trying to convince me to join their religion? I mean, I love football, but I don't knock on their doors on a Saturday morning trying to get them to come and watch the city with me.

I was just trying to think it through that's all, hence the question. I do sometimes think we pander to people's religious beliefs though and that religeon is offered special consideration not available to all. I'm happy for people to believe what they want, as long as they done expect special treatment.

I know what you mean, I don't think it's just religion though, are you happy for us to pander to the gender neutral/feminist pushing groups for example? some of their beliefs also go against science.

If you believe in god, does that mean you believe in the devil? Can you believe one but not the other?

The whole God vs The Devil thing is literally a bit literal. Literally.

Have a listen to the "Are We Living In a Simulation?" episode of the podcast by the Infinite Monkey Cage. It's a very interesting outlook and makes you think that the "greater being" idea is potentially possible, if not today then maybe in future.

Sure you can. The question is open. You don't have to believe in dualism, or polytheism, or one benevolent God, or any kind of organised religion. Just, do you believe in a thing that can be attributed to the word God?

We have been gently nudged since the 60's to believe there is no God. This poll shows what a succesful operation it's been
