    I always enjoyed watching Albert Lamour defend for the City. Always gave 100% and was a difficult man to beat.

    Agreed with that - always did a good job with a minimum of fuss, without resorting exclusively to hard man tactics (from what I recall anyway!)

    I saw his debut, and in the first couple of seasons he was awful. He became a regular in 74/5 , and we were relegated. He replaced Leighton Phillips in the team, so it was a hard act to follow. After that he was very consistent, playing with Mike England in the promotion team the following season. After we lost 5-0 at Cambridge in 78/9 he never played for us again, neither id Pethard to Attley after that game. He and Freddie Pethard both went to Torquay.
