Well I don't know about that. I do know that Universities/Colleges are a comedians best crowd 99% of the time so for them to actually stop performing there is quite a strong statement in itself.

I'd say it was the liberal types who liked Chris Morris, and the anti-PC brigade who were most offended by him, funnily enough. There does seem to be a lack of risk taking but how much has that to do with PC or, especially in the BBC's case, not wanting to offend the Daily Mail and its readers? Maybe we're just in a lull. Making TV is all about following a formula that works, same as music and film. Why is a production company or channel going to take a risk on making a 'cult classic' when they can churn out a panel show that 4 times as many people will watch?
