Right battle today

Some patches of good football but it was mostly a physical battle by a rare side who looked bigger than us ( with Bamba out), but for all their fight Sunderland offered very little going forward and we always looked the most dangerous despite our main striker being a shadow of the earlier season player again.

Our midfield 3 dominated most of the loose ball and our pressing made them constantly cough the ball up. If we'd got a 2nd early on when we were on top it could have been a thrashing, but Sunderland never gave up and in the end it was a narrow, but not nervy victory.

3 points without being at our best
