Thread: Man of the match

    Man of the match

Difficult one tonight for all the right reasons.

Bamba, Zohore, Hoilett could be any of them plus a couple of others but I’m gonna go with Ken. Back on the scoresheet.

    Re: Man of the match

After is assists and his ability to draw defenders away from others, it was great to see him score. It is so important to strikers, and now he will go from strength to strength.
Colin will be whispering in his ear, telling him how good he can be

Hoilett got it but Bamba probably should have got it, if only to rub it in more for the Leeds fans.

It's hoilett or bamba. Both were immense.

Squad showing its depth, I thought we were gonna struggle without Gunnar and ralls, but we coped easily. Bryson is everywhere! Such an engine. There wasn't really a bad performance.

Totally agree about the squad depth. Great options on the bench, well used by NW at just the right time

    Hoilett shades it from Bamba

    Mozzer.
And to think some "experts" on here "didn't like him"

    Great player, great leader.

Bamba was 10/10 tonight. How much did he cost us again! Oh yes, fack all. What a brilliant signing he's been.

Hoilett. The break for the opening goal changed the game completely.

    Agree with all that.
Bamba IMO, but not disappointed with Hoilett, though.

Not sure whether it was because the Sky cameras were there tonight but he really excites me when he is in the mood.
He was constantly trying things meaning Leeds were on the back foot worrying about us and thus unable to hurt us at the other end.

Bamba was everywhere tonight. Tidying up, putting his foot on the ball, threading defence splitting passes and more importantly not giving it away cheaply.
We do tend to not keep hold of the ball enough for my liking but if it's to provide top class entertainment going forward, this is one sacrifice we should be happy to make.
After all, we have waited too long to be entertained.

These two neck and neck for me but if pressed I'd go for Junior, just, for his ability to get beyond their defence and a consistent menace.

Everyone was brilliant today. A few mistakes made but everyone put in 100% effort, even Manga

Can't decide between Hoilett or Bamba.

Special mentions for Etheridge who saved us a goal with a brilliant sweep and recovery. Thought Peltier had an excellent game, some great passing and possession play from him.

    Re: Man of the match

Bamba read the game so well, having his height there was a great advantage as well. Bryson didn't stop running, still sprinting to close players down in injury time. Thought Bennett played well, but Hoilett seemed a threat every time he got the ball.

    Re: Man of the match

Bryson for me and I thought we were more fluid from defence through to the forward line where that leaves Ralls and Gunnerson I'm not sure.

    Re: Man of the match

Hoilett for me but should Bamba play in midfeild every week with Manga back in defence

    Bryson & Morrison dark horses.

    Always. He's immense.

    Sol Bamba aka Patrick Vieira
