    Best ever Cardiff born XI

Hi all, just wanted to ask the question, who you think is the best XI born in Cardiff? I have written an article on the subject and wanted to get your opinions on it if possible, you can find who I have put in my XI on:

I would put Blakey into the team and ditch Giggs

the reason being pure and simple, you could never be sure Giggs would bother to turn up for a " cardiff born XI " if the game didnt matter or his boss thought it a better idea to play for his own team on the weekend, he could never be bothered with his county, thus a cardiff born XI mght be beneath him aswell

Caerphilly is only just over the twmp from me, so I tend to view it as a suburb of Cardiff .

In a lot of English cities, the small towns on the periphery are desirable, posh even, places to live.

With the exception of parts of the vale, not so for Cardiff.
Caerphilly *should* be an up and coming place.
It has a stunning castle slap ban in the middle, its own shops and good transport links, yet it remains stubbornly crap.

I know what you mean. Could and perhaps should be like a big Cowbridge.

It's actually quicker for me to get there from my house than town, handy on a Saturday if I need to go to the bank, and their banks have actual people in there you can talk to.

I guess gentrification has been held off by average at best schools, crap housing stock and predominantly crap pubs and shops.
