That don't look great but that's a long way away!
I think a few other teams will come in the mix. Villa will be up there
Let's be fair, blink and they all change in how difficult or easy they become as a opposition, it's s bloody tough, unpredictable league ,that we gave done will to top .
Get ready for more home tough, hard drawn out affairs ,like the Derby game as teams cone and shut us down ,happy to leave with a draw .
This is the championship. You’ve got more chance of winning the lottery than trying to predict how the next 8 games will go for 3 teams.
Besides, there’s a few other teams already in the mix, and the likes of Villa and Fulham are starting to get into groove.
This is the main thing we should all remember. The fact that no-one can predict who's going to finish where in the division is the best thing about it. Are we in our 'rightful' place relative to the rest of the teams on merit? Not sure, but when teams like Derby start coming here to shut up shop then it shows our ability as a team is now being respected.
The fact that we've beaten or drawn with almost all the teams at the top of the league - other than the unusual Preston result - seems to suggest that we're genuinely competitive this season. I'm also excited that we still seem to be competitive even when we make large changes from our 'first' team. No Gunnarsson or Bryson today, and Paterson, Kadeem, Harris and Camp to still come in fresh later in the season means that we will potentially have the depth of squad needed to maintain the intensity needed.
Bottom line is that each game is unpredictable but we're having a great season. I've enjoyed each game I've seen this season, even yesterday's, as we have the players to do something unexpected. So even though we didn't score, there was always the chance that we might. Long may it continue!
Norwich, Forest and Hull won't have anything to play for. I expect Sheffield Utd to drop out of the way, I doubt Villa will keep up this form when they start getting tricky fixtures, while Wolves at home could be a potential promotion decider in front of a packed, full house and partisan atmosphere.
If we are in the top 6 come April I wonder if Aston Vila will give us 4,000 tickets like we gave them ?
Wolvesalona have played the three other sides which make up the top four and have taken one point from these games. Besides them, the only top half side they have played is Middlesbrough in eleventh.
Most of their opponents after playing them have just give me ip as they know that they will have no chance of getting near the Black Country Galacticos, and due to the shock and awe of playing 90 minutes against the amazing Wolves have failed to recover and are struggling as a result 👍
