Bale injured and not in squad for Madrid today with a calf injury.
That doesn’t bode well for the double header v Georgia and Ireland starting in 5 days time.

Tricky for Coleman. It’s a minor calf strain so he might be ok for Friday night. However if his calf tightens in that game he will miss the Ireland match.
If he misses the Georgia game he should be fit for Ireland. Doubt he can play in both.
It was likely he was going to miss this game after going off against Dortmund anyway, no need to panic

As long as he is ok for Ireland it'll be fine. In Georgia I think we can sneak a result without him, especially with magical Ben Woodburn.

Apart from it's ok to play Bale. Gunnars is a def no-no.
Rather he played against Georgia and we went flat out for the win. Then if he’s not fit for the Paddys we rely on the rest of the squad and a big vocal home support to get us over the line.
Yeah I would probably prefer he played in Georgia which I think is the more difficult game.
