Didn't see it in the game but definite headbutt. Watching the Allen challenge back I think mclean was lucky because it certainly was dangerous.

Too little. Too late. He should have been sent off. That may have hurt them. As it is he will simply be replaced by another thug.
No offence to Cardiff Irish who is a fine poster but I really hope Ireland get knocked out in the play offs. They have nothing to offer the World Cup

    Nothing to it.

The challenge on Allen however deserved a booking , but at the end of the day a couple of bookings would surely not have made a difference.

We lost it for ourselves, lack of ambition in selection, no one on the pitch with the magic to break them down, too slow and made a huge error in defence by over complicating things .

Yes, they were physical, but it's a physical game. We could have negated it a bit by starting the likes of Vokes. Let's leave the whining to Wolves fans.

The ref was maybe a bit weak on occasions but he was head and shoulders over most we get at City games

There may be nothing in it but how often do you see any movement of the head result in a red card? Petulant behaviour and from a team who exercised the more physical side of the game.

From the "why isn't it played at the millenium?" fans to the Irish fa to the game plan of taking out Joe Allen....I hope they go out in the play-offs.

Yep it’s a straight red if seen by the match officials. I cannot recall being at a game where a side punted the ball into the stands so often. It was like watching a lower League team. Awful to watch. I too hope they get knocked out in the play offs.

Another Henry style goal would be delightful.

Presumably there'll be a rematch once UEFA see the headbutt footage?

Karma? Broken his back? Could of really hurt him?
    What's become of the game?
Let's throw in Ramsey's head high boot then Ramsey throwing himself to the ground. Fair play to Williams for not throwing himself to the ground.... rarely seen these days.

The game has become a joke.

No, they'll simply reverse the result.

It's a headbutt, just because it's a shit one it doesn't make it not violent conduct.

The video is laughable, but you may have a point:

"In Law 12 ‘attempts to kick’ and ‘attempts to strike’ are offences – so attempted offences should be punished. Just because a player avoids an opponent’s punch or violent kick it does not mean that the offence is any less serious. Attempted violence must be punished as a sending-off (RC) offence as it has no place in football."

I'm surprised his back didn't snap clean in half

Williams should have had a red in the last game mind for that elbow. Then he faked a head injury
