    The weather today.

    here in Wiltshire land the wind is really picking up now and the Sun is
    a most peculiar colour behind the clouds.

    Ireland getting a ( deserved ) bashing.

    Very apoolyptic colour on the sky earlier. Cleared now and its a glorious day up here in Merthyr. Lovely day to rob a post office.

    Weather report now saying sky/sun colour is due to smoke from forest fires in Portugal affecting the light rays high in the atmosphere.

    That sun was eerie earlier.I noticed that. Looked like someone had upset it.

    Yeah the crappy grandstand to the right on the pen we were herded into , a load of neath Cardiff did some seat rearranging in there during the 1991 fa cup tie

    not sure where in Wilts you are, but it almost was dark earlier this morning just outside Bath, as you said, lovely red sun, caused by " dust " from the storm and " ash " from the fires in portugal / spain

    I live about 12 miles west of Bath near Lynham and yes it was dark for sure.

    Have customers in Ireland who've shut up shop and sent their staff home. Earlier like, when they're usually open.

    Here in the south west the wind has been very strong with rough seas earlier on. A few trees have blown down but the weather is not as bad as the forecast suggested. Now - 6PM - the sea is very calm and there is a slight breeze. The worst seems to be over.

    The paper I read said it was due to the sand from the Sahara. I wonder which one is correct.
