Blakey must be putting something extra in his tea. 'Scaringly optimistic' is underplaying it.
He used to be the voice of reason on that pod (certainly compared to Wales Online's Head of Sport) even when he regularly forgot players' names or hadn't actually watched the game he was commenting on. But recently he seems to be more interested in creating provocative headlines, or pumped up opinion pieces for some poor sod to ghost write on his behalf. I hope he doesn't turn into another Kenny Burns or Leroy Rossenior.
At least Warnock is dampening down all the hype and concentrating on the next game and the underdog message.
