All disasters are devastating but you have to feel if Aberfan happened in England it would get far more attention year after year.
    It was an absolute tragedy.

Although it's always referred to as a disaster in reality it was criminal negligence from the NCB.

Was the same age as some of those that died, and although I was too young to truly comprehend what had happened the day and subsequent anniversary resonate with me due to my mother's reaction

Shall we say that my mum was not the most affectionate of mothers, but I always remember walking home from school for lunch and looking up and seeing her waiting at the end of the road. To my memory she had never done this before, or never afterwards, but I always remember the tears in her eyes, and the the cwtch that she game me.

So out of character for her but I suppose it was what all mothers were feeling at the time

I hope you post that article every year so everyone can be in no doubt as to just how shameful that episode was and how little Westminster gives a fvck about Wales.

Westminster cares little for anyone. It appears the political elite will cover up and defend any of their institutions wrong doings to suit their agenda.

Hillsborough, Orgreave are other examples of this.
