Exactly. At one point he offered to go and drive to help after seeing all the credit Bob got for his genuine offer. Now he didnt really believe it from the start.

Posters were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. That’s a good thing. Others may well have seen through him. Fair enough if they had him sussed.
Either way it shows this board at its best when grown men are willing to talk about such personal matters and willing to help strangers.

I read the post immediately after Sludge's first reply.
And in a thread a couple down he posted an amusing reply 10 minutes later. Someone, (I think it may have been JRH) posted a comment, "Feeling better already are you?"

I didn't look at his thread again, it was enough for me.
