We need an effective striker who can score goals....

Its all very well saying we will be top six if we keep 15+ clean sheets but Zohore seems shattered (after a short pre-season rest); Ward is nimble but lightweight and Ogle was ineffective.

We presented virtually no goal threat at corners and free kicks.

City seem to be getting worse and worse at home as the season progresses.

We didn't create the chances , we could have had the best striker in the world up front and he would have struggled , feeding off scraps !

If we had kept the ball on the floor stretched the Millwall defence by getting to the by line and cutting it back ward would have put one of them away

    Don't panic !!

I think that a striker may be an option in January, especially if Zohore's goal tally doesn't increase. In his defence though, i'd say that he's been a little unlucky in front of goal this season, ad he could easily have 7 or 8 goals, which would put an entirely different slant on proceedings. Teams are setting up against us at home, defending in numbers, and deeply, they know that we rely heavily on our two wingers performing, so sit deep in order to stop them getting behind the fullbacks, and forcing us to make crosses in front of them-so much easier to defend. Another problem (in my opinion) is that both wide players have a tendency to cut inside, narrowing the space for Zohore and Ward, and causing them to check there run, it gets incredibly narrow up top on times.

As for todays game-Millwall bullied the midfield, as a product, Bamba and Manga weren't afforded the time and space they have become used to at home. Maybe Damour would have been an option today, as he is probably our most aggressive midfielder. Millwall were much stronger than us, and they sat very deeply when they defended, it was going to take something special today, it didn't come-They forced the pattern of play, and we didn't have a solution.

That's why Brooks goal for Sheffield Utd yesterday was so good, he was involved in the build-up and kept himself available as the attack developed.

Every game i have seen this season our striker has been isolated and starved of service. Need to get in and around him.

The front three were isolated as we started with a back 5 which bypassed a midfield two of Ralls and Bryson, we could have afforded to have dropped one of the centre halves for Tomlin/Damour

Spot on , if we got the ball effectively to Ward we would score or one of the strikers would, we were basically very poor today . Ken or no Ken , no supply we dont score or win.

Zohore is so fast and powerful he takes 2 defenders out of the game. That’s why all the space has opened up for NML and Hoilett.

We need him badly as Ward doesn’t fit well in our current side. Can’t fault Wards effort mind but should have burried that chance earlier

Agree that Zohore is clearly the best striker we have but midfield are not creative enough especially when we play with 3 centre backs at home. We played our best football with Damour in the side. At home against teams who defend in numbers like today and Derby we need Tomlin.

Damour is also a bit of an ugly midfielder in that he gets stuck in and appears everywhere. He also enjoys getting forward with little fear and that forces teams on the back foot.

I'd have him in the team over Bryson or Ralls at the moment.

Yep he does the dirty work, but we still have Gunners to come back our midfield will not seem so bad.
