The plebs caught on long since it's a grab what you can, everyone for themselves beano from the top of the top to those right at the bottom.

Evidence for this is the 12 million Britons entitled to claim Winter Fuel Allowance... just 400 decline the payment; that's 1 in every 6,400.

The Tories made a critical error at the last GE when they suggested means-testing that freebie.

The problem is that any cut to pensioners freebies is going to cost any party. Some freebies that the oaps get could be reduced dramatically but it would be political suicide.

Sadly, old people have more power in our democratic system than the young, who have to suffer those policies for years.

What is the end game and why? Who wants a global tax system and why?

The endgame is the mark of the beast: an implanted chip that contains all personal info, security clearance level, access to one's digital savings and tracking device all in one.

Seems a long way off to me.

I guess wanting some kind of transparency makes me a brainwashed idiot.

Nor me, I would prefer to live in a society that strives towards an advanced stage of social development and organization, not one that is going backwards.

TBH, I dont know what the 'answer' is regards all this, nor where it is all leading, but that's the bit that makes me laugh/cry -
Some of these folks have hundreds upon hundreds of millions and they are desperate to pay no tax whatsoever.

Unfortunately we endorse it. I know Lewis Hamilton is a frequent target in these kind of discussions but the fact that some sociopathic dogbrain tax-exile can be voted (by taxpayers presumably) SPOTY, whilst not important, just sums up how asleep we are as a nation.
