Thread: Sidy Sarr

    Sidy Sarr

Remember this guy? Probably not, but we were briefly linked with him in the summer.
He's a 20 year old 6ft5 Senegalese central midfielder who plays for Mr Tans other team in Belgium.
It never looked likely at the time, as he hadn't even broken into the Kortrijk side properly.

Since then he's gone on loan to a side in ligue 2 in France, and has scored 1 in 3 from midfield and seems to be making a bit of an impression.

Might be worth keeping an eye on him.

A recent strike here, from a break away so defence is disorganised, but a nice touch

I remember this guy. Think even WOL did a story on him. I do like the idea of Tan's other clubs potentially feeding us with players given that Ken sort of came to us this way. Sarr's loan may not be too bad a sign. Is Ligue 2 better than the Belgian 1st division? I'm not sure. But no youtube wonderkid vid out there yet to get me too excited.

No I'd say the Belgian first Division is stronger than ligue 2
    I'd say it went
    Championship (eng)
    Juliper pro (Bel)
    Ligue 2 (fr)
    League one (eng)
With a large amount of overlap between those four leagues

This guy's scored another decent strike.

8 goals in 24 games in ligue 2 predominately from a defensive midfield position.
As he's owned by Tan's other club we might see him make the journey over here at some point, although perhaps that's less likely if we go up.
Warnock does like big strong players though

That last goal is a beauty fair play.
