Mind you mentioning Eddie May what a legend he was. Always remember him walking on the pitch away at Wrexham when we took thousands there and beat them with Blake scoring. Punching the air, saluting the city fans he really was remarkable

Supporters were ecstatic when Eddie J joined?

    Really?

Must admit I wasn't particularly ecstatic about us getting a striker on loan who had never scored in Britain. His final British record of 65 games, 2 goals is a tad pathetic.

on the subject of Eddie Johnson though, how the hell can a player go from a " decent player " in one league ( the MLS ), lets face it, he was a high scoring player, to looking like he had never played the game before, we know back then the MLS wasnt the best league in the world, but Eddie really did look well out of his depth, was it a " confidence " thing ? ? ? when he returned to the MLS has had another good season

I was there to see Eddie's second goal. His first was at home to Doncaster if I remember correctly, and I was gonna go but for whatever reason didn't get around it.
Wasn't his second goal at the last night match at NP? I remember everyone going nuts for that one.

    MLS defending is shocking.

Look at it now - Bradley Wright-Phillips scores for fun. Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Johnson's stats show he wasn't good enough - score for fun in MLS, in Britain, 2 goals in 65 games.

Cant disagree with that certainly shows how poor the MLS was at the time. Compared to the Premiership and Championship. He certainly found the net when he returned to the MLS.
