Good places for a lads meal

Coming up to xmas and me and my mates always go out for some grub together. Definitely quantity over quality really.

Usually go to Viva Brazil in town or Zazas in Bristol just for a jolly. Anyone got any suggestions of where to go?

Not very imaginative but Las Igaunas is always a good one for big plates of food. Get the 3 tapas dishes, which are more like 3 main courses. Some of the best ribs and chicken wings I've had.

Went to Zazas in the summer, while visiting the ss great britain

while not the best food ( even for a buffet ) loads of options and i can imagine it would be a good laugh with mates and a few beers

If it’s quantity you want then try that smoke house in town.
It wasn’t the best meal I’ve ever had but certainly one of the biggest.

Smokehaus seriously need to explain their menu properly.

They've got things on there which are to share for four people & it doesn't explain it.

I ordered something & it turned up, Man V Food would wince at it. The server was laughing as I ordered it for myself...surely they could have said!?.

twenty pounds for a sandwich. I thought it was just going to be a good sandwich, not over 2 foot long

If you want a Chinese then try Bo Zan on Albany Road. Its like being in their front room and you might think this ain't for me at first, but the food is really good and you can have a laugh in there sat around the table. The old lady is kind and its home cooked chinese food.and its cheap. She will get the sake out. Its never packed although might be best to book this time of year. You can then wander into town via a few pubs or get straight on the bus outside. Have fun whatever you decide.
