    Why didn't Coleman wait?

    For the Swansea job?

Surely its only a small matter of time before a manager change.

Perfect fit ... or is Pulis their man?

Perhaps Swansea cannot afford to pay off Clement

If he failed at at Swansea it would be a very public humiliation for him.
If he fails at Sunderland its hardly on his own doorstep.

All his family still live there if it went tits up he did n`t want them to suffer as they would most probably have done when it did.

I was being generous for once. I have no doubt he will only have a short stay at Sunderland. Cant see Bale joining him anytime soon.

Ryan giggs had little time for Wales when he was a player and zero management experience

Please god don't let it be him

Yup, grateful for what he did and wish him the best.
Not got a great feeling about his choice, but its his business and hats off to him if he pulls it off. Somehow.

If Clement had gone by now then I'm sure he would have gone to Swansea. As it happened the Sunderland job was available so he went there. If they go down this season he'll leave and takeover at Swansea next summer.

One million pounds per year, he was on Ł200,000 with Wales, but they offered to double his wage if he stayed.

It’s like a 3 million pound hand shake....win or lose he knows how very lucky he is to be offered a club contract. Back to live in Swansea in a year with family sorted for life.....easy

Jose Mourinho couldnt keep this Swansea team up.
Keeping Sunderland up should be well within Colemans capabilities.
Sunderland in The Championship or Swansea. Sunderland are a much bigger club.

It's amazing how people can make judgements about others without knowing all the facts and minutiae.
