He is not having any of it. He will sue anyone that dare wpquestion his conduct. Beware. And he's from Barry so he means it. 😣
Viewing paaawn in work will become 'acceptable' soon, no doubt.
So long as not taboo subjects* and viewed on your 'lunch break' ..
*Who is going to decide that? .. !
Ninianclark, I'd say it's far more likely he had the evidence and isn't carping on from the sidelines. It's remarkably detailed for someone just making it up on a whim. He also says they have done much of what you said, cross-checked and so on. He was repeatedly watching porn in between sending emails from his account (allegedly).
It strikes me that this is an ex copper who has grave concerns that this guy is going to get away with it. So he's gone public.
Lardy, Joe, I concur with your points too
.
I'm not sure how they know so much minute by minute detail and activity - so very, very retrospectively, if it was not flagged up at the time.
That seems a bit strange.
I'm the last person who I'd expect to see standing up for a greasy Minister TBH. If there is absolute proof, he should be sacked and shamed like all and any others who he lords it over.
I think combining browsing history and email use is fair easy to do. There's little doubt for me that what the ex copper says is correct so that's why I disagree with ninianclarks post. I don't buy that he might be innocent.
Is it worrying that the police/ex police can go public with someones data, no matter how well intentioned? Now that's a discussion.
It is a strange and unsatisfactory affair. You should be sacked for letting someone watch porn on you're important computer you didnt protect whilst you nipped out the office shouldn't you. Irrespective
People gonna think we are the same person, Joe. Great posts though, love your work.
As an ex cop I’d like to think the ex cop is probably telling the truth.
Good luck proving it mind!
CsrdiffIrish is a policemans notebook a legal document? I know you know these things. Thanks mate.
Well obviously the Officer would have to disclose it and it can be used in evidence.
However as Ninian clark says you’d need the hard drive and such forth. Most of the time when notebooks are submitted they are usually kept in the disclosure files that the defence and prosecution share but in what’s called the unused evidence files.
I’d say I appeared in court well over a hundred times and it wasn’t that often my notebook was used in evidence.
The notebook as I say is disclosable but its going to need a lot more then that.
As an ex cop I can’t stand what this present govt has done to the Police, Green and May should hang their heads in shame but I don’t think this is going to go anywhere.
It is almost certainly true and seems to have been covered up. I don't really care about a man looking at some naked ladies, this stinks of corruption though and we are looking at a guy who will now likely get away with something that each once of us would be fired for.
Ta mate. I weren't sure. He was only a shadow minister so the ministerial code don't apply then. He will try n walk this one. Too big to fail at the moment he is.

Interesting take on it .
But even considering that article, at the least , he should have been sacked if porn was found on his PC.
Like everyone else working in any level of Gov. / Civil Service would.
