I thought we determined he wasn't a wing back, as he couldn't tackle a good dinner!

Or are you just clinging on to it?

But it should. The best two midfielders from each of the top 5 are world class... and some have more than 2 to be fair!

I agree with you on your Coleman stance, but I think you're wrong about Ramsey. He's not even 26 is he? He'd get in almost any team in the world imo

How do you work that out?

He wouldn’t get in any of the top European teams midfields. He wouldn’t even get in Liverpool’s.

    Are you serious?

    I can't reason with you

Who would keep him out? Henderson? Can? Wjinaldum. None of them can lace his boots.

He'd walk into Barca's team at the moment.

So each league should have a certain amount of world class players? I don't go with that sorry. Rambo is very good. He's not world class. And being top 10 in any position in any league doesn't make you world class.

World Class midfielders in the Premier League = Silva, Ozil, De Bruyne, Pogba, Coutinho and Eriksen.

Alli has the potential to become one.

The premier league has 5 or 6 top european teams. And they're showing it in Europe too.

I'd add Kante, Matic, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, RAMSEY, Fabregas

Tell me when has he played wing back? He's played behind Kane every game.
I'm a big fan of Rambo but until he leaves arsenal he will never reach his full potential but to say he would walk in to Barcelona first team is ridiculous who do you replace him with? (For bluebird86)

Defensive midfielder though. They don’t get the plaudits of the Attacking midfielders. Or wing backs.

5 or 6 teams. Ok. Who are the TEN world class players?

  22. #147

    Re: Chris Coleman

I don’t know how you can say Arsenal are showing it in Europe they are in the Europe League and haven’t done anything of any note in the Champions League in Ramsey’s time at the club.

No no no. The difference is you've named only attacking midfielders. I've topped your list up with valid midfield players. Defensive or not they are world class at their midfield role.

Well JR mentioned the rest previously. The two from each was a bit loose. Man City have more than two, and Liverpool only have one. But there are still more teams in the premier league with world class players than other leagues. Spain have 3, France one, maybe two. Germany two maybe three. And so on.

Paulinho starts for Barca. Ramsey is widely considered better than him. So yes, Barca would welcome a signing like Ramsey, and he would start for them.
