Definitely deserved it. It was 4-1 Messi at one point, and he's pulled it back to 5-5. I prefer Messi but you cannot knock cristiano. One of the greatest of all time.

Against Nicosia Real Madrid went 4-0 up at half time without Ronaldo scoring then proceeded to pass the ball to him at every opportunity just to enhance his bruised ego as is the case with him these days.
It's pathetic and goes against the grain of everything I have learned about football.

He didnt "just score in the knock out stages" though did he? He scored over 40 goals last season, won the league, the champions league, and scored 10, yes TEN goals, in the Quarter final to Final of the most prestigous tournament in club football. Thats an unbelievable feat even by Ronaldo and Messi standards.
Messi may have scored over 10 or 11 goals more but none of them were anywhere near as important as the ones Ronaldo scored and thats a FACT.
