    OT Ripping DVD's on a Mac

    I have a collection of DVD's im trying to copy onto a hard drive for easier viewing. Ive been using Handbrake, however whatever I try i cannot get an output file in 1080p. Anyone had any experience with this ?

    any help appreciated.

    Note..all the DVD's are free from copyright.

    Why use up hard drive storage when you can just watch them on your Mac?

    Perhaps because he wants to make copies of them for somebody

    I want to be able to watch them via my main TV, which has a NAS drive connected to it.

    not making copies for anyone else Mr Igoverner !

    It does not make any difference if you were.

    DVD is only 480p. Bluray is 1080p.
