Looked shaky tonight. Has a bloody good defence in front of him. Weak link in a good team.

Thought the only thing that let Damour down tonight was his final pass or shot. Shame, really. That'll come with him.

Mendez-Lang did not stop running and trying things, even though Hull had a full court press on him.
No shots himself but he sets his own standards, yes he has had better games but he was equal if not better than the average team score.
He was pushing Bamba for MOM in my opinion.

As for the defence, they are one unit. There must be confidence in one another and you don't keep 10 clean sheets without being a good keeper.

Etheridge being 'shaky' was a result of a lack of communication within the defence.
The lad deserves much credit for his performances to date.

Hoilett was posted missing in the first half.
Admittedly most of what he did in the second half had quality stamped on it .
    Tomlin get a 8.5 for me .
Pilkington a 5 . If he wasn't caught off side you wouldn't have known he was playing.

I dont think Etheridge is letting the defence know how he wants situations dealt with . His shot stopping and positioning is excellent.
Mendes Laing was superb. He is doing it week after week which is the mark of a top player.

I think Pilkington did a great job as he’s been nowhere near the first team for very many months and suffered a back spasm earlier in the week. He put a greAt shift in.

If getting caught offside is your bag, i guess he did.

Agreed he worked hard, lacks quality at this level.

He looked and played like he cared. In the circumstances that was far better than many.

I am guessing you spend many an hour watching people digging the roads , admiring their hard work and diligence?

Alex Revell might be a favourite ?

    No and no.

The guy knows he’s on his way but still gave 100% for our team. I applaud him.

    So should you.

I always applaud the inability of any player who cant stay onside , someone who does it time and time again gets a standing ovation.
Add to the fact he is pretty shit and we have the the perfect player ..

A true city supporter, good or bad. Did you just go to the cup final?

    Team performance 8.5
    Pilkington work rate = 8
    Pilkington effectiveness = 4
He tried to do what he was asked to do but there is no point playing long balls to a player that cannot win them.

Lino 10/10 for not flagging Bamba offside for the goal -
which he was, if only by an inch.

I don't usually agree with you about.... anything. But I do on this.

Pilkington hasn't played for ages - a few u23s and a cup game I think in 6 months. He is not match fit. He was frustrating at times with the offsides (though not too many) and the flick ons to no-one (but was that his fault or his team mates who didn't run in behind), but throughout he was trying. He was also on the wrong end of a good few decisions where he should have had a foul called (and at least one offside was a bad call too). But he gave over an hour and did a job - and kept trying - and provided the assist for the Bamba goal.

It wasn't a MOM performance but I was irritated with some of the criticism of him I heard in the Ninian. In the circumstances he is due a bit of slack and a bit of credit.

Looking at some of the ratings on here, if you didnt know the result youd think that we'd won 4 or 5 nil.
