Shearer Thinks so.
On MOTD he said Kane is worth £180 million after He equaled Shearer’s record for the most Premier League goals in a calendar year during Tottenham’s 3-0 win over Burnley.
What do you reckon?.
In today’s market a resounding “Yes” from me. He’s a goal machine.
In financial market terms, probably, but in reality no effing way! It just goes to show how obscene the top levels of football have become.
That's before england win the World Cup.
Completely obscene, and way gone over the horizon to la-la land.
But if a club would be prepared to pay that for him, then that is his worth.
It almost boils down to a discussion on the meaning of the word 'worth'. ;)
Despite his goal scoring record I remain unconvinced by Kane.
Can't put my finger on why and it's especially hard to justify it but something is holding me back in saying he is a special centre forward.
However, if he carries on at this rate he will be plying his trade in Paris or Madrid before long.
I'm not seeing it. Yes, he does very well for Spurs and scores a lot of goals. I just can't see him fitting in at one of the big continental teams.
Yes for me
a 25 plus a season striker in the prem league is priceless
funny considering
At Leicester he was warming the bench for a good % of the games
and he has worked with Russell Slade who was "happy" at his arrival at Orient and said, "I'm sure he will have an impact with us over the coming months".
Watching him on the SPOTY he really sounded down to earth and a inspiration to kids, work and train hard and who knows what you can achieve fair play to the bloke
He never scores in August though apparently
He’s not worth anything like this amount. He has done nothing on the world stage. He was crap in Euro 2016.
The greats perform on the world stage for their countries. That’s when the likes of Kane have to play on a more even playing field against the best players in the world. Playing in a strong Spurs side against some pretty weak PL sides isn’t the acid test. Let’s see how good he is in the World Cup finals
That's the thing for me.
Great record for Spurs.
At lower levels when out of loan, hardly set the world alight.
He's a quality finisher, absolutely no dubt about that... but I suspect it's a case of right player at right club at right time. At times he's overly greedy, he'd not last long at say Real Madrid if he tried that, Ronaldo would kick off.
He was a baby when he went out on loan to these lower league clubs. It was about giving the guy some experience. Do you think if he went on loan to the championship now he wouldn’t tear it up?
It’s not like he’s he the type of striker to take 5 chances to score 1. Look at the amount of hat tricks he’s got.
The guy is the real deal
First people said it was a purple patch, then they say he wouldn't be able to do it year after year, so now he's over his purple patch and had banged them in constantly, now it's his record at lower league clubs on loan
