And people complain they are hard up or they are going into massive debt. This thread sounds as though we have never had it so good.

It’s all rather obscene isn’t it.

I’ve spent nothing extra on food, why are people so greedy? Ive bought no alcohol whatsoever. Drinking is for pubs and socialising only. Think of your bodies and health everyone.

No kids so no money spent there.

I note you left out the words "and socialising". You don't have to spend a fortune to have the occasional drink in a pub. Of course if you are a heavy/problem drinker then drinking at home is of course more economical.

I spent a lot of time in pubs in my 20’ and 30’s, think I’m over pubs. Good to socialise though I agree. I do enough and there are other ways to do this that don’t involve pubs....

Easier to justify going to the pub to socialise when you haven’t got kids to look after
