.has a mammoth job on his hands. The players look totally shell shocked, devoid of confidence. Any belief they had following our excellent start has ebbed away - what we are now left with is a group of players showing their limitations across the field, where before they thrived on the energy, momentum, dare I say hype, that took us to the top.

We all knew that there were better footballing sides, but City were more 'effective', relinquishing the tippy-tappy , go nowhere football that most other teams adopted, in favour of being creative further up the pitch where it really matters.

This can go two ways. Logically, with confidence renewed, new players, and a couple of wins, we can keep ourselves in the hunt. Otherwise, if Warnock cannot put the mojo back into the team, we'll drop down the league like a stone...
