Jack Rodwell (not transfer, don't panic)

If the figures the BBC are reporing are correct, he's cost Sunderland £10M in transfer fee & £11M in wages. £21 million for 53 games, so roughly £400k / game. That's Cornelius'esque ... no wonder they're in dire problems.

On 60 grand a week apparently. His Premier League deal was relegation proof.

No wage drop and signed a 5 year deal. He's cost them £11m already but he's due another £4.5m in wages for the last 18 months of his deal.

An example of the farce that is modern day football.

Only when fans vote with their feet will things change.

Football fans organisations encourage a 3 month boycott of sky.

Had the potential to be a great great player but money is getting ridiculous.

Average season tickets are roughly £500, so over the course of his tenure at Sunderland that’s 49,000 season tickets, just on him.

And people wonder why football is moving further from the everyday supporter.
