Gate receipts, TV money, food/drink and merchandise sold on the day?

I don’t think half a million would be far off would it?

36000 crowd, Cardiff get 45% which is 16,200 fans. Slightly less than an average home game, but the difference is that season ticket holders have to pay this time around.

£144,000 TV money. About £500,000 sounds right. Figure could be affected by a few quid if Tan hands out freebies to the Malaysian Transport Minister and Malaysian MP for Kuala Lumpur Central as he tends to do on the big match days.

To get a 36,000 crowd wed better get working quick on the ground extension.

the run so far is £200k so with 45% of the gate plus tv money, and a percentage of the catering to my reckoning should be £600k plus

Yeah we should underperform and play for a draw at home, and then win it at their place in the replay. Good thinking

We don't get a percentage of the catering though do we?

Yes we do, that is the deal brokered by Peter Risdale

We get very little of that money. The deal he brokered means that we only get a decent percentage once a certain level of sales have been reached. Should earn something from the Man City game on catering , but vast majority will go to Compass . Deal still has two seasons to run.

And then they are gone, their contract will not be renewed VT wanted to buy them out but they refused.

Not easy to accurately say , but the basis is as follows

CCFC receive all the t.v broadcasting money - for the 4th round that is £144k

The gate money is split 45% to each of the teams , with the remaining 10% going into a central pot.
After allowing for segregation in the ground , capacity will be about 31,000 of which (level 4 of Grandstand etc) don`t pay as the game is included in their season ticket price , so perhaps 30,000 paying customers.
If , say , 500 of the paying customers are corporate packages at £99 each that would be £50k but at least half of that will go to Compass for their food and other services so maybe only £20k or so for the club.

The remaining 20,500 , allowing for concessions , will probably be paying only about £15 a ticket to the club after v.a.t is taken off ticket price so that would be £308k.

The club gets very little from match day catering income as most of this goes to Compass group.

Overall , the club might therefore benefit to the tune of about £450k to £500k. Not budgeted for , so a bonus which might help spending decisions in the transfer window.

    .

    Posted this before editing. Doh.!!

The club will only get 45% of the gate receipts so just under £140k , so total benefit likely to be in range £280k to £300k

What about the money off the FA for going through the rounds?
also i think that the average ticket price would be nearer the £25 mark as the £15 seats are only in the family stand

Plus a few grand for radio broadcast fees. Minus additional stewarding/police costs. Plus any additional advertising income. Plus the intangible "I"'ll get a season ticket next year" knock-on effect.

Seems that we will get a fair bit more than if we had gone out then.

You get the money for winning games , so we got money for beating Mansfield , not for playing Man City (we will get £90k prize money if we beat them).

The average ticket price you quote is the adult one. It will be lowered by the fact that the club doesn`t benefit from the v.a.t in the price (on a £25 ticket the club will have to hand over £4 in v.a.t to HMRC). Also concession prices for youngsters and old farts (like me) are considerably less.
