    Geoguessr

Anyone played this? Drops you in a random Google Street View map, and you have to guess the location. You can move around looking for clues.

Hard as nails when you’re just stuck in the middle of nowhere with no road signs to go off!

If they are driving on the left, guess Australia. If they are on the right, it could be anywhere!

I played the reality version last night in Mansfield. I guessed Aleppo.

Oh, you mustn't use google if you find the name of a place.

Yup, guessed that one right when I saw cars on the left with English signs and palm trees, definitely wasn’t Llanrumney!
There was one where I was stuck in the outback on a mud/sand trail. Guessed Kenya, fecking miles out.

Keep getting dropped into a country road. Could be anywhere! Looking forward to playing the specialist games but I need 500 geo coins to unlock them. Could have lost interest by then!

Oh yeah? Try getting dropped onto a f**king boat in the middle of nowhere! Since when did Google Maps outsource to boats?!

    19688.

First place was just outside Shrewsbury - I managed to guess 1.6 miles away. Second place was an Indian Reservation - I guessed at South Dakota and was only 80 miles away. Got a lucky guess on the third place (Jacksonville) - but the last two places were complete guesses and I was a fair few miles away.

Just had a go, scored 15759. Was doing well and got the first 3 within 200 miles each somewhow but on the last one I guessed it was somewhere in West Russia and it was actually 5000km away in East Russia

Ended up on the 4th attempt in what looked like the Australian outback - spent 15 minutes going in one direction and not one clue ! Turned out was right about Australia but 1500 miles out ! Last one found an address on a Coca Cola van and got within 20 miles !!

It dropped me next to a field of cows, I'm sure I had seen the one cow before on my way to Nottage, so I guessed the porthcawl area and it turned out it was in Ghana

Did she tell you you were miles away?
