I don't buy Peterborough Today so I may have missed that one.

As I said, just what I heard. If we had a bid of £3m turned down for that "Boro fella then I'm sure we could offer a couple of million and Tomlin for this Maddison lad.

I doubt we would pay a few million on a winger from League 1.

Jack Marriott - 22 goals this season so far. No doubt a fair few of them assisted by Maddison.

Marriott seems like a small ish striker, so the assists probably aren't just hopeful crosses for a big lump to get on the end of.

I think it says a lot about the recent recruitment that the player we paid the most money for hasn't really come off yet we are still doing well. In other circumstances that could be a big problem but not this year. Not with the overall standard of recruitment since Warnock took over.Tomlin worth a gamble and may yet pay off but it seems less likely as things play out.

Peterborough aside I can't see any one really wanting him at the moment without it being heavily subsidised by the club and if that's the case he may as well stick around unless he's being totally disruptive.

I had my suspicions about this at the time. Cant see Tomlin fitting in here now so would not be surprised to see him off.
