    Every club should clap as should every football fan wherever they are at 3pm today a giant has left us .

    Excellent programme on iplayer at the moment about a testimonial match played in the late 70's where a team of black players played against a team of white players.
    Reckon it would be a bit of an eye opener to anyone too young to remember how black players were treated back then.

    Yeah great program. It shocked me the attitudes were that bad to be honest.

    Back in the day it was just accepted i lived through it without even realizing racism was so bad ,WBA created a three degrees poster with him Laurie Cunningham and Brendon Batson shown on it , they even arranged a English international black v white game , eeek .

    Down the City we signed a cracking player called Clive Charles for WHU although no racism was involved it it the press did treat it as a specific event ,in a sought nice way .
