Thread: Friendship scarves / half and half scarves

Friendship scarves / half and half scarves

I don't see why so many fans don't like these. I believe its a sign of fans maturing, long gone are the days when some fans were only interested in 'trouble'.
Don't get me started on this 'old school' bullshit
People attending matches do want souvenirs, why not a scarf that denotes the teams playing?

The people who're against these, what do they want? A return to flat caps and packs of 5 woodbines ?

Agree completely, it's what modern soccer is all about..

I think all game should end in a draw so nobody loses.

Competative sport is a throwback to the days of flat caps and packs of 5 woodbines.

Can't stand half n half scarves.
I buy a match programme as a souvenir of the day and the teams playing, and wear a scarf of the team I'm supporting .

I noticed there was someone selling Leeds/Millwall half n half scarves the other day. I wonder how many they sold?

Leeds / Millwall? What a great idea, it's a start.

No. I want to go and watch a football match. I don't want souvenirs, I'll have my memories of the game (or not as the case may be).

A mature opinion. I'd go one step further, no segregation. Trouble would soon die out, these 'fans' would soon 'cop on' without a pack of 100 idiots their back.

They're just a bit naff if you ask me.
And ditching segregation would ruin the atmosphere.

I think they were priced at £7, so over a season that's £161 extra just for home games. And let's face it, you can only wear so many scarves before you become too hot!

£80 for programmes - scarves are excellent for putting on your bedroom wall or ideal gifts. You can swap with fans next to you. No segregation.

Or just buy some chips down Chippy Lane

Do you have a list of excellent places for putting scarves - like bedroom walls , as gifts, swapping the same scarf with with a fan next to you - so you both end up with the same scarf - how does that work ?.

If you are looking for ideas of what to sell the Mancs and the plastics - go for pies - they love pies oop North and so does your average p1ssed up chav plastic
Swappring scarves from previos matches. A bit like programme collecting.

How about a game of alleys with opposing fans at half-time?

I'm not sure about that, would there be room? Would there be an even surface?

Health and safety would soon put a stop to that.

There will probably be an automatic 3 year ban for carrying marbles or conkers into the ground. Meanwhile you can ll strangle your opposing fan with your half n half scarf.

Certainly not. You have to draw a line somewhere.

Wash your mouth out for even thinking that.

Why not just forget the game and all have afternoon tea?
