Casey Jones, steaming and a'rolling.
V and the original Miami Vice, Class.
Jamie and his magic torch and Chorlton and the Wheelies. Enjoyed them. Not so that Wizbit thing that used to float around..a triangle with letters on I think he was. Creepy. Used to shit me up which probably goes a little way to ecplain my terrible spelling these days.
Then those Childrens tv imported favourites.
Robinson Crusoe
The flashing blade
Belle , Sebastian and the horses.
William Tell
Circus Boy
One that sticks in my mind that nobody else seemed to watch was HR Puffnstuff or something like that....I used to love the theme song.
Other westerns;
Cimarron strip
Whiplash (steady on)
Shenandoah
The rifleman
The Adventure Game
Watch With Mother...
Monday - Picture Book
Tuesday - Andy Pandy
Wednesday - Bill and Ben
Thursday - Rag, Tag and Bobtail
Friday - The Woodentops
Torchy the Battery Boy
Noggin the Nog
Pingu
and a little later...
The Old Grey Whistle Test
Boys from the Blackstuff
When the Boat Comes in
Tales if the unexpected. Very conflicting messages. Creepy music but a topless bird dancing.
Bod
The Dakotas
William Tell (effectively a western set in Switzerland)
Westerns became "politically incorrect" with the constant depiction of naughty 'injuns'.
So they replaced the Colt45s with blasters and phasers, and made the injuns into aliens.
the film Avatar perfectly matches the "exploit the natives' land without regard for their welfare" of the American West.
Four feather Falls
Another one no one else I speak to seems to remember. I think it was one of the first series done by Gerry Anderson. About a cowboy with a magic gun that he didn't need to aim (if my memory is right)
